Playfirst’s Parking Dash is a fresh, fun and innovative take on puzzle/strategy games. The premise of the game - managing a parking lot business - may sound strange at first, but the concept is executed with such charm that its peculiarity quickly becomes one of its best features. Both easy to learn and yet increasingly challenging and complex, Parking Dash is a game that merits the attention of any casual gamer.

Lying somewhere between Bust-A-Move and Bejeweled, Glyph 2 challenges its players to match three or more like symbols, adnauseam. Each stage is a field of replicas of five different elemental symbols, with the occasional hurdle or special rune. Players are asked to click on these symbols in order to clear them. Three adjacent symbols is the minimum in order to clear. The maximum is limited only by your ability to set up your symbols. The more you clear, the more points you earn. High scores are the goal here.

In Swarm Gold, you play as a criminal turned corporate scavenger, piloting a specially designed spaceship to gather up EZ energy. Of course, you also have to avoid a minefield of deadly asteroids and legions of buglike enemy ships out to snag the same energy, but hey, with a liberal scattering of shield rechargers and “tons” of weapon enhancements, it should be easy, right?

Slingo Supreme is the latest in the Slingo series from Funkitron. The game is a combination of slots and bingo, which is where the name comes from. The Slingo series has been evolving and they seem to get better with each new incarnation.

Kudos 2 is a superb ’sim’ game. Many of the niggles found in Kudos 1 have been ironed out but if you haven’t played Kudos 1 and don’t know the basics, then you don’t need to worry - the tutorial for the sequel is extremely clear and helpful.
