After playing Virtual Farm by Alawar Entertainment, I have found it to be quite unrealistic and a game that quickly becomes boring. Personally, I did not like it; I enjoy games that are a challenge, and this game was far too simple. To give it a rating, I would say it is no better than a 2/5 for children, a 1/5 for everyone else.

Hell’s Kitchen is a game soon to be released in the US on several platforms. This review is based off the PC version. The game is based on a reality TV show on FOX. The premises show is about a chef known for his flaming temper, foul mouth, and excellent cooking skills. His name is Gordon Ramsay. The show has chefs competing on opposing teams to complete challenges, and conduct dinner service at the Hell’s Kitchen restaurant. If you were hoping to have an experience similar to the show, prepare for disappointment.

The game play involves the dining area, and the kitchen. Running the dining area includes seating your customers, taking their orders, you will need to tell your waiter to deliver the food, remove the plates between starters, main course, and after their dessert. Running the kitchen involves stirring ingredients, and dragging specified ingredients to a picture hovering above the cooking device for every order. You must wait for the ingredients are prepared before you cook them, watch a timer so they don’t get burned and place the dishes on the counter to be sent to the dining area. You have to constantly switch back and forth between the dining area and the kitchen.
During the whole time in both the dining and kitchen areas there will be a flaming time meter, as time passes the flame slowly goes down. Quickly addressing issues in the dining area, and accuracy in making the food causes the flaming time meter goes up. So you must be quick with the mouse and click accurately. This combination makes this game great for players who like having to think quickly.

The graphics are a outdated, the animated character of Chef Ramsay looks somewhat like the real Chef Ramsay. But don’t buy this game if you are looking for next generation graphics. The graphics fail to make you feel you are on the show.
The sound is just a low background noise; it doesn’t change at all during the game. Some variety would have been nice, maybe at least play the main theme song in the background. In a short amount of time you probably won’t even notice the background music while playing.

The creativity is severely lacking based on content. The game is extremely repetitious. Each day of the game you do basically the same thing only it gets a little harder. Over time you feel like you are in an endless loop of doing the exact same thing over and over each level you reach.
There is not much innovation to be found in this game. If you haven’t seen the show, the game could possibly convince you the show is boring. There is no excitement in this game. The only positive thing is that if you like quick thinking; you definitely feel the pressure as if you were on the show.
The bottom line: The game is not worth buying.

Dairy Dash is a downloadable game from Play First and a spin-off of the game Diner Dash. In the game, Mr. Smith attempts to cook dinner for his family but causes a block-wide power outage instead. Consequently, his family heads to Flo’s Diner, the diner from Diner Dash, for dinner. While there, Mrs. Smith reads a letter from Uncle Bill, who is about to lose his farm. When Mr. Smith suggests that his family spend some quality time together helping Uncle Bill, they take off, leaving Mr. Smith at the diner. Flo tells Mr. Smith that she knows of several restaurants, including her own, that want to buy produce from local farms. Mr. Smith, encouraged by Flo’s news, proceeds alone to the farm.

Honestly, when I downloaded the trial for ‘Battle of Tiles’ I didn’t expect much fun out of a game composed of tiles. I was thoroughly surprised when I started playing, though. Battle of tiles features a simple GUI, quick learning curve, and well composed game play.
If you are a beginner to the world of PC gaming Battle of Tiles offers “easy” and “very easy” difficulty settings, while at the same time offering harder settings for the more experienced player.

Who says only 3D games can rule the gaming world? Mr. Smoozle Goes Nutso is a game that proves whoever says such thing wrong. If you love Pac-man, you will like this game even more. Although I am not a great scorer in games, I enjoy this game very much due to the uniqueness in its interactions especially the comic strips at the beginning of the game that reminded me of my childhood days. This game greatly challenged to my memory, and my ablity to obey instructions when I was playing it.

Ever since Diner Dash and Cake Mania exploded onto the casual gaming scene, there’s been a new genre of action/puzzle game. This genre is known to most as “deliver ridiculous requests to hundreds of angry customers at unhealthy speeds,” or simply “customer chaos.” And Build in Time takes that formula and absolutely rocks it.

Build-A-Lot 2: Town of the Year is a game along the lines of Maxis’s SimCity and Sierra’s city-building series, but with a real-estate twist. While in SimCity, the emphasis is on infrastructure, Build-a-Lot is focuses more on individual houses and beautification. You begin in a neighborhood with some empty lots, grayed-out houses and a bit of cash.

Larva Mortus by Rake in Grass doesn’t pull any punches. With its self-proclaimed “cheesy horror atmosphere,” the game is about blowing up zombies with dynamite and mowing down 10-foot vampire bats with a machine gun. And it’s awesome.

As soon as I opened up First Class Fury, I was immediately let down by the graphics, which were merely childish cartoons. The basic concept behind the game is introduced through a comic book style dialogue, which lets you know that you will be playing the game as a flight attendant, who works for an airline that was just bought out by new management. As the airline’s number one flight attendant, it will be up to you to keep the customers happy, and eventually lead your company to the top of the airline industry.
