The Amazing Brain Train is a clever game that is as fun for children as it is for adults. It is an interesting and challenging game to play. It is easy to get engrossed with the puzzles and see if you are up to the challenge to solve each puzzle in the time allotted.
There are three areas of play:
TEST MODE - Solve five math equations; memory and/or logic puzzles, and complete other mini-puzzles to earn high marks on your test. At the end, your test results are provided as an interesting fact.

QUEST MODE - You interact with computer characters to assist them in their needs. To help them, you must travel by train to where you need to go. You fuel the train with the results of the mini-games. The better you score, the further the train can travel.
PRACTICE MODE Allows you to learn and practice the mini-games; timed or at your own pace; before diving into play. Highly recommend this first to learn the mini-games.
MINI-GAMES - From memory games to the power of observation, there are a variety of games sufficient to prevent boredom from setting in during play. Logic games and solving general math equations will help build budding young minds while making it fun to learn!

OVERALL - The game lacks in instructions on how to complete each mini-game. Some have a single line instruction, but many of the mini-games do not. Recommend working the PRACTICE mode first to learn the games.
GRAPHICS - The graphics are good quality for the game without hogging computer system resources.
SOUND - The sound effects match the game playing and provide audible input for game progress as well as successes and errors. Background music is available and the ability to raise and lower the music and the game sounds are presented separately.

The game play is nicely paced. You answer questions or test your memory, logic, and puzzle solving capabilities. The better you do, the higher your score. Wrong responses are also penalized points.
If you have children playing partially supervised, the game does not allow for mouse activity away from the game playing screen. This is good if you don’t want younger hands controlling the mouse on your computer but troublesome if you need to do something briefly during game play.
RATING 5/5 I would purchase this game for the challenges and uniqueness it possesses. A refreshingly new approach to games that allow children to learn while playing.
