Gravity Core is brought to you by Suisoft an independent video game developer based in the United Kingdom. The game sounds interesting enough you are a pilot on a mission to save your comrades.

It did not take long before I grew weary and frustrated with this game. Playing continuous for a hour I was still having problems with the controls. Constantly found myself floating through space with little control of my ship or where I was headed. Capturing your fellow comrades requires you to get dangerously close to land, which if you touch will cause you mission to come to an abrupt end. This may not be a problem when you basically have unlimited lives. However, it becomes tiresome when navigating your ship with any precision is near impossible.

Game Play Score: 2/5
Although not impossible to play, Gravity Core comes pretty close to it. High casualty rates will have you pulling at your hair in frustration before you finish the first level, if you’re lucky to get that far.

Graphics Score: 1/5
Graphics are nothing great, as a matter of fact look like they are better suited for the SNES. Colors are dull as most of the screen is either black or brown. Environments show little depth, A maze of brown (land) with a black back round (space) with an occasion speck of white (stars). Characters do not fair much better, your comrades might as well be little stick men.

Audio Score: 2/5
Audio is nothing fabulous as all I heard from most of my time playing was the sound of my ship exploding.

Creativity Score: 1/5
The only creativity Gravity Core requires is how you use deflector shields to pick up your helpless comrades. Not the most creative of ideas.

Innovation Score: 1/5
Creativity score applies here, not much to talk about.

Final Score: 2/5
Although I found this game to be very frustrating, I still believe there will be a select few gamers out there who will take the chance on this game and find it to their liking, however unlikely that maybe. Gravity Core’s bad graphics gives it a retro feel, making it appealing to those who remember asteroids.

Recommendation:
If you like the Asteroids retro feel. Try Galaxy Wars for the Nintendo Ds or Wii. It is a great new twist on an old classic
